They Called Her a Waitress—Then Discovered She Was Atlas Seven

PART 1 — The Waitress Who Never Missed

The slap echoed across the shooting range.

Loud enough to silence hundreds of spectators.

Coffee splashed across Sofia Brooks' black polo shirt.

The tray crashed onto the concrete.

Paper cups rolled beneath the blazing afternoon sun.

Nobody helped her.

Some people looked away.

Others laughed.

Because to them, Sofia was just a waitress.

Another temporary worker serving drinks during the National Precision Shooting Championship.

Nothing more.

The man standing in front of her certainly thought so.

Eric Dalton.

One of the country's top professional shooters.

Famous.

Talented.

Arrogant.

And currently furious because coffee had spilled near his equipment.

Even though he had caused it himself.

"You're just a coffee seller."

The insult drew a few nervous chuckles from the crowd.

Sofia slowly wiped coffee from her cheek.

She didn't argue.

Didn't yell.

Didn't react.

That somehow irritated Eric even more.

He pointed toward the firing lane.

"If you're so good, try shooting."

The crowd laughed louder.

A waitress?

At a professional shooting competition?

Ridiculous.

Then Sofia answered with a single word.

"Okay."

The laughter stopped.

Not because people suddenly respected her.

Because they thought she was joking.

She wasn't.

Without another word, Sofia walked toward the firing platform.

Eric smirked.

Several competitors exchanged amused looks.

The officials hesitated.

But before anyone could stop her, a voice spoke from the VIP section.

"Let her shoot."

Everyone turned.

President Malcolm Graves stood from his seat.

Owner of the championship.

Former military legend.

One of the most respected marksmen in the country.

His expression was unreadable.

"One shot."

The crowd moved aside.

Sofia stepped onto the platform.

The rifle rested against her shoulder.

No warm-up.

No preparation.

No adjustment.

Just calm.

Absolute calm.

The wind shifted.

Dust drifted across the range.

The target sat nearly six hundred yards away.

A difficult shot.

Even for professionals.

Then Sofia fired.

The crack of the rifle thundered across the field.

Silence followed.

For a fraction of a second nobody knew where the bullet landed.

Then the target monitor flashed.

Dead center.

Perfect bullseye.

The grandstand exploded.

Competitors jumped to their feet.

Officials stared in disbelief.

Eric's smile vanished instantly.

"Impossible."

President Graves looked stunned.

Actually stunned.

The man who had spent decades around elite shooters suddenly looked as if he'd seen a ghost.

Because he wasn't staring at the target.

He was staring at Sofia's arm.

Her sleeve had shifted slightly during the shot.

Revealing a strange geometric tattoo.

A symbol he recognized immediately.

A symbol believed to have disappeared years ago.

The symbol of Project Atlas.

The most secretive marksmanship program ever created.

A program that officially never existed.

A program whose members were all presumed dead.

President Graves hurried toward her.

His face had turned pale.

"Who are you?"

Sofia lowered the rifle.

For the first time, uncertainty flickered across her face.

Because she recognized him too.

And she knew exactly what that question meant.

The past she had spent ten years running from...

had finally caught up with her.

END OF PART 1

As the crowd erupted around the miraculous shot, President Graves stared at Sofia's tattoo.

Then he whispered a name no one else understood.

"Atlas Seven..."

Sofia froze.

Because only one person alive should have known that name.

May you like

And according to official records...

that man died ten years ago.
