“YOUR DAUGHTER IS NOT BLIND.”

The words hit like a strike.

The boy’s finger pointed straight at him—

close—

unshaking—

accusing.

The father froze.

Breath caught.

“What did you just say…?”

His voice dropped—

tight—

dangerous.

The world around them dimmed.

The camera shifted—

The girl sat beside him.

Still.

Sunglasses covering her eyes.

A white cane resting in her hands.

Fragile.

Unmoving.

The boy stepped closer.

Calm.

Too calm.

“She’s not sick… someone is doing this to her.”

The air thickened.

Leaves moved softly in the wind—

but the silence felt heavier than any sound.

Then—

“MARcus!”

A voice in the distance.

Panicked.

Breaking.

The father turned slightly—

then back.

Caught between both.

The boy didn’t look away.

Not once.

He raised his hand again—

closer now—

final.

“It’s your wife.”

Everything stopped.

The father’s face drained—

shock crashing into him all at once.

He turned—

slowly—

toward the woman running toward them.

Her face—

fear.

Real fear.

“DON’T LISTEN TO HIM!”

Her voice echoed—

too loud—

too desperate.

And then—

movement.

Small.

Impossible.

The girl’s head turned.

Slowly.

Not toward her mother.

Toward the boy.

The father froze completely.

Because—

she had never done that before.

Her lips parted.

Barely.

“…Daddy…”

Her voice trembled—

fragile—

breaking—

“…I see light…”

Silence exploded.

The father couldn’t breathe.

The mother stopped—

mid-step—

like everything had just been exposed.

The boy stepped back slightly.

Certain.

Already knowing.

“…you’re too late.”

May you like

The moment held—

right before everything collapsed—
