The Owner’s Favorite Restaurant

Part 1

The upscale restaurant was full, but one table in the center remained occupied by only an elegant yet sorrowful elderly woman. Rachel, a waitress with an air of superiority, approached impatiently.

“Ma’am, you’ve been sitting here for thirty minutes and haven’t ordered anything. This table is for paying customers only,” she snapped, her sharp tone causing several diners to turn and look.

The elderly woman, Margaret, lifted her gaze, her eyes misted with emotion.

“This used to be my husband’s favorite restaurant. Today would have been our anniversary… please, just let me sit here a little longer,” she pleaded softly, her voice trembling.

Instead of showing compassion, Rachel let out a mocking laugh in front of everyone.

“Oh please, ma’am, I don’t have time for stories from the Stone Age,” Rachel replied, crossing her arms. “If you’re not ordering, you need to leave immediately.”

Security escorted Rachel out of the restaurant. In a matter of minutes, she lost not only her job but also a major bonus scheduled for that month.

As she stumbled outside, her phone slipped from her hand and fell into a storm drain, taking with it years of contacts and connections.

Within days, a video of her behavior spread, destroying her reputation in the industry.

Inside, Margaret returned to her table.

This time, she was served by a young trainee who had always been kind.

Impressed by his consistent respect toward every customer, Margaret promoted him to head waiter and awarded him a full scholarship to study culinary arts abroad.

Part 5

Weeks later, Margaret discovered a hidden letter her late husband had left in the restaurant office.

In it, he expressed his final wish:
