The Gift of Memory: The Boy Who Brought Light

I. Abandoned at the Doorstep
Beneath the stone archway of an old orphanage, a man with an icy gaze roughly let go of the hand of a seven-year-old boy named Noah.

—“I’m tired of you. You’re useless,”— the man snapped, turning away without looking back.

The sisters of the orphanage rushed to comfort the child, who stared at the ground without shedding a single tear, showing a maturity far beyond his age. Sister Margaret knelt in front of him.

—“Who was he, little one?”— she asked gently. —“He is my father,”— Noah whispered. —“And why did he leave you here?”—. —“He says I killed my mother… because she died the day I was born.”—

Sister Margaret felt a knot in her throat. —“That’s not true, child. No one is to blame for being born. This will not stay like this.”—

II. The Detective and the Lost Trail
Outraged by the psychological abuse and abandonment, the nuns contacted Detective Harrison, a man known for solving cases of separated families.

—“Harrison, we need to know who this boy is and whether he truly has no one else,”— they told him.

The detective began to pull the thread. He discovered that the father, consumed by resentment, had cut off all communication with his late wife’s relatives years ago. After months of searching through notarial records and forgotten archives, Harrison found a name: Mrs. Eleanor Whitmore.
